Walking along the Tambo River you will often find wild life such as foxes and many types of birds !
This applies especially to the Flood flats located near Johnsonville where you will see many variaties of birds around the start of Spring!
Watch out for the Swans Plovers and Stilts and often soaring above looking for prey are the Wedge Tailed Eagles, Sea Eagles, Falcons and Kites.

If you find the Tambo River by turning off the Highway at Johnsonville I'm sure that you will be in for a surprise. The locals have been trying to keep it a secret for years :)
A local management committee (with the help of the council) keep the garden area clean and neat.
The Tambo is quite wide at Johnsonville and is a haven for boats that are looking for somewhere to moor safely for the night !
